International Foundation for Nutrition and Health

International Foundation for Nutrition and Health (IFNH) is a non-profit educational organization that supports healthcare professionals. The focus at IFNH is to bring awareness of the therapeutic value of whole natural food to the public through their practitioner. In today’s commercially charged environment it is easy to lose track that the original scientific research was done with whole complete food complexes. Over the last 140 years many renowned leaders in the fields of medicine, biochemistry and dentistry reaffirmed that there is a difference between whole food complexes in chemical isolates.

IFNH was given the mission of keeping the spirit of Dr. Royal Lee and the works of the Lee Foundation alive. In that endeavor we feel it is our duty to perpetuate those philosophies on whole food nutrition. IFNH has strived to re-publish many of the original copyrighted works held in trust by the Lee Foundation including those held by Dr’s. Price, Pottenger, Page, Lee, Harrower, Hawkins, Myers, Wiley, Tilden, and Béchamp as well as other notable nutrition pioneers.

These early pioneers of nutrition paved the way for many healthcare professionals and researchers of today. It is our belief that these classic works are as important today as when they were first published.

In response to the many requests by the practitioner’s we work with IFNH is creating this website to help support patient education and whole food nutrition. Unfortunately due to legal and financial restraints of our budget IFNH is not able to support this site on a personal one-to-one basis. If you have any questions please refer to your healthcare provider.

IFNH’s Basic Philosophy

We believe that Food Is Therapeutic. Early research into the nutrition shows us that there is a link between healthy people and a lifestyle that follows a natural whole food diet.

Most of the research on nutrition before the mid-1940s was done with whole natural foods, whereas the research after WWII was done in most cases with synthesized chemical by-products in a single isolated form. Whole natural food complexes are not the same as synthesized chemical isolates. For instance the average vitamin B product purchased at the drugstore is made by a pharmaceutical company from coal tar which has done an excellent job of stopping the degeneration of prehistoric animals in the La Brea tar pits in Los Angeles, but was never made for human consumption.

Whole natural food complexes have many properties that make up the whole many of them in micro doses that act as a synergistic property supporting the whole.
